Power Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement. All postures flow into each other with a breath flow. It is a power yoga that continues in a flow (vinyasa). The beauty of vinyasa flow is that you can vary a lot in terms of postures, speed, transition, but also in terms of time with holding the poses. Vinyasa flow is a wonderful form of yoga and often music is used that accentuates the flow.
Much use is made of your own body strength combined with fitness and endurance. In each pose, power is drawn from your bandhas (muscle locks in your body) or core (abdominal muscles). Are you already advanced or have you started your yoga practice fairly recently. Options are always indicated during class. So the idea is not to do what everyone else around you is doing, but to consciously start with the first option and see here what it does to your body and what you can work on.
Advanced students can move right on to the next option, so everyone can get the most out of a class and you can also continue to deepen and challenge yourself in every way. Letting go of your ego and connecting with your own body is very important. When you don’t let go of your ego and want to get as deep into a pose as possible, you’re also not consciously engaging with your own body or with yoga. Then you work to increase your ego instead of growing your body and mind. Stay with yourself, not in the comfort zone but not out of your limits either. Keeping your body and mind challenged and open to your physical and spiritual growth.
